Michelle Liedbulk “ミシェール・リードブルク” is the only heroine in Growlanser III The dual darkness who is an NPC.

She is the younger sister of a soldier of the Schelfengrif Empire.

A girl who has a weak immune since birth so she can only live in a sterile room and protected from viruses.

Personality

Michelle is a kind-hearted girl who is friendly to many people. She’s always worried about her older brother, Orpheus who is a soldier of the Schelfengrif Empire.

She always welcomes everyone who comes to visit her, and she is very happy when people visit her. Due to her circumstances, she becomes very pessimistic about her future and yearns for a free life outdoors.

Her hobby is drawing pictures and her dream is to draw a picture of the sea.

Background

Michelle is a girl with immunodeficiency by birth. She cannot get out of the sealed and sterilized room to block the virus.

This room which was made by featherians, requires a certain amount of knowledge for maintenance, so Monica is in charge of it.

Since she lives in the same village, she has been friends with Monica for a long time.

Her father is dead, and her mother has been missing since she was very little.

Since childhood, she could see fairies, but because no one believed her, she stopped telling other people about it for fear of being thought of as a strange person.

Growlanser III The dual darkness

Michelle’s first appearance in the game was immediately after Monica joined the party. Before continuing the journey, Monica asked the party to visit Michelle for maintenance on her life support device.

Hearing Slayn talk about her older brother helping their fight moments before, she seemed happy even though she couldn’t meet him, but her brother still cared about her. Then she told of her desire to go see the ocean. She also asked Slayn to share his journey when he visited again next time.

After some time, Michelle got up the courage to ask about a fairy who always came with Slayn. Then she chatted happily with Rummy about the wind fairies, the sun fairies, and the moon fairies. Especially the moon fairies often converse with her.

In the middle of the story, the device in the room will be damaged, and she will die if the device is not repaired.

At one time, Yayoi would ask for time to talk to Michelle. Yayoi called the moon fairies to find out that Michelle could see them too. Later, Yayoi told Michelle that they both have the abilities of a moon spirit messenger. Then, Yayoi told that she knew Michelle’s mother.

If player rescue her, she will become a healthy and will be able to live in the outside world. If so, she would aspire to become a moon spirit messenger.

At the end of the fight against Orpheus in Lindenberg, Michelle appeared and informed her older brother that her illness had been cured thanks to Slayn and his comrades. There, she finally found out that her mother is still alive.

Even though she is not a party member, her ending is provided.

Growlanser ~Densetsu no Isan~

In Growlanser ~Densetsu no Isan~, Michelle appears in the third chapter of the interactive game: Gekka Bijin (Queen of the Night​).

Her personality is still the same as seen in the main game. However, she is unvoiced.

In the third chapter, the new protagonist and party met Michelle when they visited Falkenfreuk City.

She was on a training tip with Yayoi.

After listening to Annette‘s story, Michelle suggested Yayoi to help them through the “moon reading”.

When the moon reading showed Slayn’s face, Michelle revealed that there was something in the liquid that reflected the caster’s loved one.

Hearing that, Yayoi became flustered, and Annette showed a suspicious expression.

After the love comedy scene ended, Michelle wished Annette and the party good luck, then they parted ways.

Drama CD

In Growlanser III drama cd, she acts the same as seen in the main game. However, there’s not much to tell because she only appears for a few seconds in the intersection
