Eliotte

Eliotte “エリオット” is one of the protagonist’s party members whose existence is like the protagonist’s younger brother.

He himself greatly admires the protagonist and is determined to grow up to be a strong person like the protagonist.

He is a young man who has the same face as Richart, the prince of the Burnshutain Kingdom.

He’s wearing a red jacket, white trousers, and white shoes.

In Growlanser 2, he will always wear the King’s clothes as Richart used to wear.

Personality

Eliotte is a boy with an elegant personality. He had a slightly modest personality, but as he continued his journey with Carmine for his goal, he gained a dignified personality.

Because he was rigorously disciplined and raised, he is also good at etiquette.

His weapons are a slender sword and a bowgun, he is a character with weak defense but has fast legs. He’s not good at dogs.

Background

He is a magic swordsman who was taught swordsmanship and magic by his parents.

In fact, he was the real Prince of Burnshutain, but soon after he was born, he was replaced by his clone (Richart) by the plot of Gevel.

Originally he was supposed to be killed, but he was entrusted to the above-mentioned parent by Venzern who had a rebellion against Gevel, and was raised secretly.

Growlanser I

Elliotte’s first appearance was in Derris village when he and his parents were attacked by bandits, then he was saved by the Protagonist and the party. Then, his parents asked the party to take Eliotte to Rosaria.

Having lost his letter of introduction to enter the royal palace, he ended up having to live in the city and was attacked by bandits again. Carmine and the party rescued him again on the way to escort Princess Leticia home.

Princess Leticia misunderstood him as Richard and took a rugged attitude. They ended up bringing Eliotte to the palace and letting him stay there until the truth was revealed.

The bracelet worn by Eliotte was created by the 3 court magicians at the time of their birth, and the names of the magicians are written inside. This proved Eliotte’s identity, as Richart’s was a fake that only imitated his appearance.

After learning of the situation, he teamed up with Carmine and the others to join the decisive battle against Richart to stop the war. After the victory, he has shown concern for Richart, and there is no particular grudge against him.

After subduing Gevel, Venzern revealed his true nature and started a rebellion. His subordinates who were Eliotte’s foster parents were forced to join Venzern. And Eliotte was forced to fight against his foster parents. His foster parents were cursed and destined to die if they betray Venzern.

After the fight, Eliotte’s foster parents revealed that they raised Eliotte on orders, but their affection was real, then they bid their eternal farewell.

Growlanser II The sense of justice

In Growlanser II the sense of justice, Eliotte still appears as king. He was often seen on his throne while briefing Wein and the party.

This time he permanently wore the same king’s attire that Richart had worn.

Only at the beginning of the story of Growlanser II, when the timeline is still in the time before Venzern was defeated, Wein can meet him outside the royal capital wearing his old clothes worn in the previous work.

He seemed to have gotten used to his position as king, and had become a more reliable person. This time, however, he is no longer a playable character.

Growlanser IV Wayfarer of the time

Eliotte does not appear in main story of Growlanser IV Wayfarer of the time. However he appeared at the ending of its OVA as fan service along with several other characters from Growlanser I to III.

Drama CD

On the Growlanser I Drama CD, Eliotte sounds like he has the same personality seen in the main game. However he didn’t get many scenes to appear and only spoke in short lines in conversation.
