Drama CD of Growlanser III The dual darkness.

This drama cd contains 16 sections consisting of an opening song and an ending song, a drama story consisting of 7 episodes, and 7 intermissions that intersperse each drama episode.

This drama tells the events of a space-time fusion project that is altered from the story in main game with the presence of a new character.

While the intermission contains short comedy stories.

Entrusted Ring

The story begins in the cave to the Roland Kingdom (the cave the party passed after Monica joined the party for the first time). Slayn and Rummy hear a male voice and look for where it was coming from. It turn out to be the voice of a male ghost. The ghost asks Slayn to deliver a ring to his daughter, then to deliver her daughter to the Featherian Queen. After that, the ghost disappeared.

The party members caught up with Slayn and they continue their journey to Feather Island. To those who couldn’t see Rummy, Slayn who was talking to Rummy looked like a weirdo who liked to talk to himself. Suddenly they hear a girl’s scream. The girl is being attacked by a monster. Slayn and comrades repel the monster and save the girl. It turn out that the girl lost her memory so she doesn’t know her own name.

Intermission 1

Rummy meets her fellow dark fairies, Roomy and Remy. They talk to each other. Lumy and Lemy sound the same personality as Rummy, and they have the same voice. Huey and Slayn wonder if all dark fairies are like them. Huey said watching them made him want to laze around.

Episode 2

Girl Who Lost Her Memory

The girl who lost her memory looks hurt. After Monica treated her, the girl is trying to remember something, and she remember that she has to go Feather Island because her father told her to. Eventually the girl join the party because of the same destination. The girl looked at Monica’s tiny wings and said they were cute. Hearing this, Monica became angry and left them.

After a while, the girl apologizes to Monica. The girl then shares that the only family she has is her father, although she doesn’t remember anything else, she sounds sure of it. As a fellow person separated from her father, Monica feels sympathy. Then the girl reminds Monica of an old featherian fairy tale that tells of a young girl who has lost her memory named Elena. The girl likes the name, and makes it her name. Suddenly the Titan came to attack…

Intermission 2

Slayn started by summoning the spirit of darkness, followed by Huey who summoned the spirit of wind, then Yayoi summons the spirit of the moon. Annette said she wasn’t bothered even though she couldn’t do it. However, after hearing Monica summon the spirit of darkness, she feels jealous and take her anger out on Rummy. Rummy is surprised that Annette can see her.

Monica tries to protect Elena, then Slayn and the others come help them. After viewing Monica who is injured from protecting herself, Elena suddenly released a mysterious ability that caused a thunderstorm to wipe out Titan. After the fight, Annette treats Monica’s wounds. Then Rummy told Slayn that there’s something concerned her about Elena. Suddenly, they received an attack from a woman, and it was Barbara.

Barbara who defeated Slayn and friends asks them to do something for her. Barbara asks them to promote Barbara’s fan club. Then, each party member give their comments regarding Barbara’s profile. All of them are bad comments.

Episode 4

Feather Island Shake

Barbara continues to bombard Slayn and company with her fire magic. Suddenly, she is interrupted by an arrow and a woman’s voice, it is Yayoi. Then, Barbara decides to run away, and Yayoi fails to stop her. After that, Slayn and company rush to Feather Island using the Transgate.

After arriving at Feather Island, Slayn and company go to meet the Featherian Queen. Slayn have a hard time when asked by Elena about this project. Then Victor appears and explains it.

Slayn shows the ring he had entrusted to the Featherian Queen and Victor. Victor instantly recognizes the ring and explains that it was the treasure of the Roland kingdom, the time ring. But according to Victor, the ring was supposed to be equipped with a time ore, and the owner of the ring was a man named Alan. Then Elena reacts and states that Alan is her father’s name. However, according to the Featherian Queen and Victor, Alan did not have a daughter. Suddenly the alarm goes off, and they receive an attack from Barbara, and she takes the space-time orb. Then Barbara escapes.

Intermission 4

Annette suddenly served everyone coffee. Huey and Monica found that to be a rare occurrence. Then Slayn invites everyone to drink it. After that, everyone spit it out. Turns out Annette mistakenly added another ingredient instead of sugar. However, Yayoi gives a different comment.

Episode 5

“Jikōseki”
Time Ore

Characters: Victor, Slayn, Annette, Yayoi, Huey, Featherian Queen, Rummy, Monica, Elena

Victor states that the space-time fusion project cannot be carried out without a space-time orb. The Featherian Queen proposed an alternative to using time ore. This method cannot transfer the entire continent, but it can transfer the entire Feather Island. However, Victor explains that ordinary time ore is not enough, but high purity time ore is needed, the one like ore that should be attached to the ring entrusted to Slayn.

The party plans to go to where Slayn found the ring. Rummy is trying to convey something about Elena to Slayn. But Slayn ignores her and asks Rummy where the ghost was. Monica came to comfort Elena who is in shock because she heard that Alan, who was thought to be her father, did not have a daughter. Suddenly Barbara appears and attacks Elena and Monica. Hearing this, Slayn and friends rush to save Elena and Monica. Then Rummy reveals Elena’s true identity.

Intermission 5

Slayn is trying to demonstrate the results of his speaking practice with the kansai accent he learned from Huey. Annette says that it is more difficult than any magic chant. After Slayn said that, there is the sound of a cold wind blowing. Huey complains and Annette says that it is impossible for anyone other than Huey to do. Suddenly Monica retorts with proper Kansai accent and everyone is shocked.

Episode 6

Rummy reveals that Elena’s identity is actually the time ore itself. Everyone is shocked and have a hard time believing it. Then Victor explains the possibility that it was true. Barbara continues to attack Monica and Elena. When they are desperate, Elena prays to save Monica, then remembers everything.

With a mysterious power, Elena returns fire magic to Barbara. After that, Elena tells everyone what she remembered. The reason why she was in human form, and why she had to head to Feather Island. Barbara reappears with her subordinates and begins an attack to destroy everything…

The party feel sorry for Michelle who can only live in an aquarium. Then Michelle shows how she plays to entertain herself.

Episode 7

守るべきもの

Something to Protect

Characters: Victor, Featherian Queen, Annette, Huey, Slayn, Barbara, Monica, Elena

Victor and the Featherian Queen arrive and ask where the time ore is. The Queen orders Slayn to bring the ring that was entrusted to him to Elena so that Elena will return to her time ore form. Then, Victor explains that the ring that Slayn carries has the power to return Elena to her time ore form.

All party members can’t accept Elena’s treatment. Slayn is faced with the choice of sacrificing Elena to save many people, or vice versa. But Slayn chose to protect Elena. While Slayn and company are arguing with the Queen, Barbara’s magic is ready to be launched.

Holy Cross!!

Elena protects everyone by receiving the magic with her body. As a result, Elena is badly damaged, but she is happy to be able to protect Monica and everyone. After asking Monica not to forget her, Elena uses her remaining power to attack Barbara and her subordinates. The time ore and the spacetime orb that are close cause an extraordinary phenomenon. Barbara and her subordinates escape, and the energy of the space-time tower is fully charged, and the space-time fusion project is executed immediately. The story ends with Monica playing the flute for Elena.

Slayn is annoyed that he can’t find the enemy that is attacking him. Clive prides himself on being nicknamed “Chameleon”. Since they can’t see Clive, each party member conclude that their enemy has various true Chamelon traits such as a tongue that can extend up to 10m, eyes that can rotate 360 degrees, and so on. And Clive receives tremendous mental damage.
