Appearance
Rummy is mascot character of this work features a witch-like hat and a bat wings.
She has brown eyes and pink hair.
She is wearing black-red clothes and hat.
Personality
Rummy has a gentle tone and personality.
She refers to herself not using the word “Atashi, Watashi, or Watakushi” (all mean I/me), but using her own name “Rummy”.
She feels comfortable being around Slayn, which she later learned that it was because Slayn was a Dark Lord and was a fellow existence that controlled darkness.
Like the fairy characters in other works in the series, she plays the role of a spokesperson in place of the silent protagonist.
But, unlike Tipi in Growlanser I, the number of people she can talk to is extremely limited, so she devotes herself exclusively to support & retort.
Background
Her ego as a fairy awoke only a year or two years ago. When she found a ghost who can’t rest in peace, she wanted to help the ghost.
But since Rummy and the other fairies could not be seen or heard by ordinary people, there was nothing she could do.
At that time she met Slayn who can also see ghosts.
Slayn promised to send the letter from that ghost.
Then, Rummy followed Slayn until the promise with the ghost was fulfilled.
After the promise was fulfilled, Rummy left Slayn. But not long after, she returned because she felt comfortable around Slayn and then she followed Slayn’s journey.
Growlanser III The dual darkness
Some time after the promise with the ghost was fulfilled, Rummy returned to Slayn and followed his journey. Since not many people could hear and see him, he only spoke to Slayn.
When they stayed at the inn in the Tzaitstein mining town, she seemed pleased to learn that Huey could see her too. From then on, dhe also spoke to Huey when there was no one other than Slayn and Huey.
She seemed to know about Huey’s identity but was not sensitive enough to understand Huey’s circumstances. She was seen several times almost revealing Huey’s identity, but Huey always managed to prevent it by blowing the wind so that she was blown away. In vacation, there were several events where she learned to joke with Huey.
During a mission to pass through a fortress on a mountain path, she volunteered to spy on the enemy’s state since ordinary people can’t see her. Since then, he has always volunteered on various missions that required scout.
Several times when Slayn’s personality was asleep and Gray‘s personality appeared controlling the body, Rummy was neither seen nor heard.
She also looked happy to know that Michelle could see her too. After Monica became a dark messenger, she was able to see Rummy and said that before she had heard an unknown voice which turned out to be Rummy’s voice.
Rummy was shocked when she found out Slayn’s true identity but was immediately convinced because of Slayn’s soul core that attracted her. After Slayn managed to defeat Shion and returned to dark mountain, Rummy ended her journey with Slayn.
Rummy doesn’t have her own ending. In Slayn’s ending, she will escort Slayn’s soul to the entrance of the underworld, and she bids her parting words.
If the ending of another character is fulfilled, and Slayn’s soul is successfully transferred to the homunculus, Rummy will say her parting words through Huey because Slayn is no longer a messenger and cannot see Rummy.
Growlanser ~Densetsu no Isan~
In Growlanser ~Densetsu no Isan~, Rummy appears in all chapters of the interactive games.
Her personality is still the same as seen in the main game, and she is still voiced by the same seiyuu.
Since Slayn had lost his spirit messenger powers, Rummy was no longer clinging to him. Instead, she helped the new protagonist.
Together with the new protagonist, she went on a journey to retrieve the stolen water orb.
Along the way, she was in charge of giving various information to the protagonist.
Growlanser IV Wayfarer of the time
Rummy does not appear directly in the Growlanser IV Wayfarer of the time.
In Growlanser IV, there is 1 type of familiar that was designed based on her as a model (Type D-LM). But she is voiced by a different seiyuu.
Players must load clear save data from Growlanser III in order to be able to choose her.
However, in Growlanser IV OVER RELOADED, she can be selected without save data.
Growlanser IV Wayfarer of the time Return
In Growlanser IV Wayfarer of the time Return, Rummy appears in the story of chapter: Spirits.
However, since the story is presented from the point of view of Crevaniel who does not have the power of a spirit messenger, Rummy’s form is not visible and her voice can’t be heard.
At that time, Rummy followed Monica to help her carry out her duties as a dark spirit messenger.
Throughout the story, there are scenes of Monica talking to herself which actually shows that Rummy is talking to her.
Growlanser I
In Growlanser I psp version, a fairy out of 5 fairies in the fairy cafe appears in the form of Rummy wearing the maid costume.
She also introduced herself by the name “Rummy”.
In this work, she is not voiced, but player can enjoy conversing with her.
If player continues to make the right choices, she will give a reward in the last event.
Drama CD
In Growlanser III drama cd, she acts the same as seen in the main game, both in the serious story section and in the comedy section. What stands out more here is Slayn’s response when talking to Rummy which was not seen in the main game because Slayn was the Silent Protagonist in the main game. Rummy is often scolded by Slayn for being too slow in speaking.

Ending
In this work, the ending of the fairy character is not prepared, and she can not be tied with Protagonist. But visual art of her is used in the Slayn’s ending. If Slayn is not tied to anyone, or if there is no homunculus, then Rummy will follow halfway as his soul travels to the underworld.
