Randy “ランディ” is main character of 2nd role and protagonist’s party member in main role.

He is known as “Randall” in localized version.

Personality

He loves his wife and children, especially his daughter Ann.

Although he is a person with a hot personality and has a high spirit of justice, he is the most calm person among the party members.

He always gives advice when the party is in trouble, and always supports whatever decision the party chooses.

He fights using throwing cards.

A long-range attack character. He is good at magic, but he has low physical defense, and his HP is low.

Background

A historian of the Cyriltia Kingdom, a professional archaeological exploration who is well known at home and abroad. He lives in Juwaina.

He is a former 正義グリーン “Seigi Green” (Justice Green), a member of 正義戦隊 “Seigi Sentai” (Justice Ranger) and has great respect for Seigi Red who was the leader of Seigi Sentai.

However, his comrades were killed by the attack of “Jagd Screaper”, then he and Romina who survived went on different paths.

His desire for revenge was very strong. He reminded Zeonsilt to take him when he wanted to fight against Jagd Screaper.

Randy’s Role

In the second role, he is the main character. In the 20 years since the Admonisher first fired, war has come to a halt, and a new age of apparent peace has dawned. However, even though open hostilities have come to an end, no country in the current peace talks will back down. The limit of peace are straining.

An historian of Cyriltia Kingdom, Randy took it upon himself to research the peace of ages past, to see if that golden age could be recreated. Randy met Billy and received a request to investigate the ruins to the north of Felmentia. On his way to the ruins, he met Sheris who was protecting the workers.

Then, the monsters appeared and attacked the workers. After they managed to defeat the monsters, suddenly a knight screaper appeared, then Randy and Sheris fell into the ruins. In the ruins, Randy regroups with Sheris and Billy and fights against the knight screaper.

After defeating the knight screaper and they managed to escape out of the ruins, Randy reported the conditions inside the ruins to the investigation team. After that, Randy helped Sheris to find a new spring which was a problem that was afflicting the Cyriltia Kingdom.

Main Role

In the main role, Randy appears for the first time when Zeonsilt and the party come to Juwaina to look for Pernagi. At first, Randy suspected they were a party sent to kill Pernagi. However, after the party rescued Randy’s daughter, Ann and the other children from a poisoned cave, Randy changed his mind.

After he escorted the party to Pernagi’s house, Randy joined the party to represent Pernagi to go to PMB headquarters. If the party brought him to meet Saria at the inn in Totuwa, who previously lived in Zerdok, Corin would peek at Randy apologizing for the deaths of his Seigi Sentai comrades.

After the party managed to seize the screaper control device, Ann was taken hostage by Eizack and asked the party to hand over the device in exchange. Randy apologized for the trouble and promised to make up for this by helping the party.

After successfully stopping Eizack who was using the screaper control device, the device was eaten by Jagd Screaper, who was called the Platinum Screaper by Randy. Randy actively asked the party to invite him when they went to fight against the Jagd Screaper.

When the secret of Zeonsilt’s body was revealed, Randy was the only member of the party who could still remain calm and fully support whatever decision Zeonsilt would make. Randy is shocked to learn that Zeonsilt is Romina’s son and regrets that mother and son were involved in anti-screaper operation.

Some time after the first Jagd Screaper is defeated, the party can take Randy to meet Saria again to return the Seigi Blue’s charm that was given to him by Saria. After that, Saria will be able to move on and tell Randy not to worry about his past.

After the last boss was defeated, Randy returned to Juwaina, but not long after he was called by Sheris to help her in diplomatic affairs between countries because Randy was famous as a historian.

Growlanser VI Precarious world

Randy is one of the members who still has a role in Growlanser VI Precarious world.

Although he doesn’t get as many roles as Fanil, he is still involved in both the main story and side quests. He is also still voiced.

In the early part of the story, he will be the guide for Merklich and the party to go to the guardian tribe.

Meanwhile, in the later part of the story, he will also tell about the location of a certain ingredient needed in the Zeonsilt’s side quest.

Drama CD

Randy appears in the drama cd of Growlanser V and VI. In Growlanser V Drama CD, he acts the same as seen in the main game. While in Growlanser VI Drama CD, he seems to be more active in talking and joking to match the content of drama cd which is comedy.
