Seldiss

Seldiss “セルディス” is main character of 1st role, a man who travels to find a way to create a peaceful world without war.

He will later become supreme commander of Peace Maintenance Brigade in main role, and the father of Chriass.

He is known as “Seldous” in localized version.

Appearance

Seldiss has same silver long hair as his son and brown colored eyes.

He is 44 years old in main role. In first role, he was 24 years old.

In the main role, he wears the most striking PMB uniform with a white coat which shows that he is a supreme commander.

In the first role, he was wearing a dark shirt, black trousers, and a brown jacket. At that time, his hair was still short.

Personality

Seldiss is a man with a good heart, has a high sense of justice, and hates war. He was highly trusted by Vanette and his subordinates.

He preferred to let the bandits live and make them work to build the PMB rather than kill them.

He is admired by his son, Chriass. He is even respected and supported by a resident of Totuwa Village in the Cyriltia area.

In first role, he fought using a one-handed sword. But in the main role, he devotes himself as the supreme commander in the story and does not join the battle.

Background

In his youth, Seldiss has been traveling with Vanette looking for ways to end the war.

He was from the same orphanage as Vanette, and their orphanage where they were born and raised was involved in the war and burned.

He thinks the method lies in the ancient empire, which once kept peace for a long time.

Seldiss would later marry Vanette, and they would have a son whom he named Chriass.

Seldiss’ Role

The first role starts with Seldiss arriving at the battlefield between the Grangale army and the Neylern army. Selfie accepted Neylern soldier’s request to send his death message and Seldiss received the Friendship Medal.

After that he regrouped with Vanette and continued their journey. On the way, they saved a man who had fainted and was nearly attacked by monsters. That man is Eizack. After learning they had the same goal of creating peace, Eizack joined Seldiss and Vanette.

At first, he opposed Eizack, who discovered the ancient weapon Admonisher and tried to use it as a means to stop the war, but Seldiss made up his mind by witnessing the current situation where life continues to be lost in the war.

While they were repairing Admonisher, they were attacked by the group of heroes of justice “Seigi Sentai” (Justice Rangers), but Seldiss managed to stop the fight by explaining their intentions. After that Seldiss handed over the friendship medal to Seigi Red.

After that, Eizack suggested Seldiss to marry Vanette because it was the most appropriate time, and Seldiss finally proposed to Vanette. However Vanette died not long after running out of stamina in battle sometime after giving birth to Chriass.

Seldiss sent a warning to the Grangale and Neylern armies to stop the war, but both sides ignored it, so Seldiss decided to attack both armies with Admonisher. With Admonisher as trump card, he became the founder of a Peace Maintenance Brigade (PMB). And then, he himself became the supreme commander of PMB.

Main Role

In the main role, Seldiss, who is the supreme commander of the PMB, decided that the PMB would not take action on matters not related to war. Because if a force with great power issues a statement, it may be perceived as “dictatorship”. However, it began to cause the discontent of every country and peace began to crumble.

At one point, Seldiss became increasingly suspicious of the reason Pernagi disappeared from PMB without explanation and ordered Zeonsilt and party to find and bring Pernagi to PMB.

During Zeakvalt’s theft of the Dragon Orb, Seldiss tried to negotiate with Zeakvalt, but he failed. With the loss of the Dragon Orb, Admonisher was unable to operate, which resulted in the PMB splitting into Seldiss’s side and Eizack’s side.

Morever, differences of opinion between Seldiss and Chriass regarding the action of the Grangale Kingdom in using the screaper controller caused the PMB to further split. But in the end, Seldiss supported his son’s actions and entrusted some of his subordinates to help Chriass.

After the appearance of the Queen Screaper, Seldiss along with Eizack used Admonisher to fight against it. After witnessing that their Children managed to make peace without relying on weapons, they ended up deciding that it was their duty to bring the end of the Admonisher along with their lives in the assault on the Queen Screaper.
