Personality
Just like the Carmine, no personality is set, and all his speech and conduct are left to the player, and he doesn’t speak.
His weapon is twin double-edged lances, with one in each hand.
He is talented enough to fully master Lockbein’s weapon, which are said to be difficult to master.
His ability growth depends on the result of character making, but basically he is an all-rounder who can handle anything above average.
Also, his title will change depending on the result of character making.
Background
Zeonsilt is an orphan raised in Warslee Village created by PMB. After receiving surgery, he learned 超音波結界 “Chō-onpa Kekkai” (Ultrasonic Barrier) that can weaken the power of any nearby Screapers. However, he himself did not know the details of the surgery he received at first.
Later he discovered that the surgery was done by implanting No. 1 cells (known as zero cells in localized version) in his body. However, if these cells are left alone, they will erode the body and turn him into Screaper.
To prevent this, new cells were implanted that produced deadly poison and prevented the erosion of screaper cells, but if they left unchecked, they would also be deadly poisoned.
Therefore, it is possible to prolong life by continuing to take medicines created from substances extracted from humans (vital energy) on a regular basis.
The operation was performed according to Eizack‘s instructions, and the operation was performed on a person who was in a life-threatening condition like Zeonsilt, and resulted in a trump card against the Screapers.
In Zeonsilt’s case, he gains another ability, being able to see a female ghost, which he later learns to be his mother, Romina.
When they found this fact, Chriass was disappointed and said “there was such a guy!”, And Alessa saw him as “a monster that eats human life”.
Eventually, the cells were sealed with “freeze time technique”, eliminating the need for medicine intake. However, his ability itself remains, and it can be expressed as Zeonsilt’s own ability.
Later, he will hear from Romina and Randy that his father was Seigi Red who was the leader of Seigi Sentai (Justice Ranger) who actively fought for justice.
Growlanser V Generations
When Zeonsilt was attacked by a screaper and was seriously injured, he underwent military surgery and survived. When he wakes up, he is taken to PMB operations division by Mervina, who also a member of the same division. At the same time, she became his superior in the same department.
There, he will meet other PMB comrades like Chriass and Fanil, and he is actively carrying out various missions to prevent war from occurring in order to maintain peace.
Perhaps because he has screaper cells, he was stroked when he met a mysterious girl (Queen Screaper’s alter ego) in the early stages.
Together with his comrades, he managed to defeat Lockbein who was the strongest person in the Neylern Kingdom but ended up failing to prevent Lockbein’s true plan to revive biological weapon.
Although he is under Mervina’s command in the operations division, as the story progresses, he will be more active under Chriass who is in the diplomacy division. On his journey with Chriass and Fanil, he meets Zeakvalt who they later find out that his true identity is a biological weapon revived by Lockbein.
When there was an internal conflict at PMB, he sided with Chriass and opposed Eizack, who was the head of the operations division.
Under Chriass’ command, he also managed to prevent the Grangale Kingdom’s invasion of the Neylern Kingdom without killing anyone when the admonisher malfunctioned. He also managed to defeat Jagd Screaper that killed his father.
However, when they discover the secret behind the operation he received, he is viewed badly by Chriass and Alessa. After a while, his comrades came back with a solution to seal the screaper cells in his body.
After the screaper cells in his body were successfully sealed, he returned to his mission with his comrades and finally managed to defeat Zeakvalt who is the strongest male enemy, and he managed to retrieve the dragon orb.
However, even though the Admonisher had reactivated, it was not enough to defeat the Queen Screaper and end up blowing itself up to open the path for the next generation.
As a trump card against the Screaper, Zeonsilt challenged the Queen Screaper with his comrades and managed to defeat her thanks to the help of Alessa who sealed the Queen Screaper’s self-healing ability.
After the final battle, he is busy helping Mervina and Chriass with the tasks. And in some endings, he ends up being called the savior of light, Growlanser.
Growlanser IV Wayfarer of the time
Zeonsilt does not appear in the main story of Growlanser IV Wayfarer of the time. However he appeared at the ending of its OVA as fan service along with several other characters from Growlanser I to III. Like Slayn, he only appears in the last second image with the other 4 protagonists.
Growlanser V Gaiden
In Growlanser V Gaiden, Zeonsilt showed up to visit Alessa who was working hard on Queen Screaper’s vitality-absorbing device.
Seeing that the lights in Alessa’s lab were on late into the night, Zeonsilt checked on her.
Even though he hesitated and felt sorry, Zeonsilt entered Alessa’s lab and talked to her.
Zeonsilt, who realized Alessa’s determination, answered all of Alessa’s doubts through a short conversation.
Without realizing it, they spent the whole time talking until morning.
But thanks to that, all of Alessa’s doubts were resolved. She changed her mind and renewed her determination.
Growlanser VI Precarious world
In Growlanser VI Precarious world, he is depicted as a young man who has a cool and melancholy atmosphere. However, he has a strong feeling for his comrades. This time, he is well-known as Screaper Extermination Expert.
Since this is a direct sequel to the previous work, the appearance of the protagonist of the previous work is similar to what happened in Growlanser II The sense of justice. He has also retired from silent protagonist role just like Carmine in Growlanser II.
And players can load his save data from his previous work, this system is similar to what happened in Growlanser III The dual darkness. In some cases, he shows a fighting ability that breaks the game balance.
However there are some differences.
Unlike Carmine who showed up and joined the party too early in Growlanser II, Zeonsilt appears in the middle part of Growlanser VI story, and will only join the party in the final phase. Since he will be the last member to join the party, this increases the excitement of playing him.
In Growlanser III, Wein and other imported characters join in at the final phase of the story too, but they don’t affect the main story and are present only as playable characters. Unlike Wein and other imported characters in Growlanser III, Zeonsilt will still be involved in the main story of Growlanser VI. He is also even given a side quest which is quite important because it will solve an unresolved problem in the previous work.
As mentioned before, he was transplanted with a hybrid cell of human and screaper called “No. 1 cell”, which gave him the ability to activate a special wavelength “ultrasonic barrier” that weakens the screaper.
This Problem that have not been resolved in this previous work may be resolved depending on how players continue the story in this sequel. If the criteria are met, No. 1 cells will be removed, but in that case, the ultrasonic barrier will disappear too, so if the removal timing is wrong, the screapers battle will be difficult.
In the previous work, after the time of the cell was frozen, his ability still remained in his body. From this, it is clarified that the existence of the No. 1 cell itself is more important than whether No. 1 cell is active or not.
He is called “Goatland Warrior” by Infinitō.
Chaos Wars
Zeonsilt appears in another game “Chaos Wars” in chapter 4 act 1. If player use the “Two Spears Key” obtained after going through several battles in this chapter, Zeonsilt will appear and join the party.
In this game, Zeonsilt is given an exclusive skill that belongs only to him called “Rejection”.
Note: The game itself informed that “this story has no relations with any existing works” at the beginning of the game.
Drama CD
Zeonsilt appears in the drama cd of Growlanser V and VI.
In the Growlanser V Drama CD, he sounds like he has a calm demeanor and the good leadership in battle. He actively gives accurate instructions to party members even in dangerous situations without panicking. Because of that, he was often reprimanded by Corin for being too calm, and he also often reprimanded Corin for being over-excited.
In Growlanser VI Drama CD, he still maintains his attitude as sounds in the drama cd from Growlanser V and seen the main game Growlanser VI. Even though the content of drama cd is comedy.

Here is a recording of his comments in Growlanser VI Appendix (gallery) with english CC / Subtitle.
Fun fact:
Zeonsilt is often referred to as the second Shinn Asuka because apart from being voiced by the same voice actor, they are protagonists whose existence fades due to other, more conspicuous characters.
In the case of Shinn Asuka, the role as the core of the story was taken by Kira Yamato. Meanwhile, in the case of Zeonsilt, that role was taken by Chriass. Fortunately, Zeonsilt didn’t have the misfortune to be defeated at the end of the story like Shinn Asuka.
